REMINERALIZING INGREDIENTS
Adding Calcium Carbonate and natural minerals contained in Himalayan Salt to the toothpaste helps your teeth heal and it also builds back structural loss by providing the building blocks to the healthy teeth where they can capture and use these minerals.

WHITENING INGREDIENTS
Himalayan Salt and Baking Soda are both safe and gentle abrasives which are going to help clean away all the stains on your teeth.

DETOXIFYING INGREDIENTS
Coconut oil contained in this toothpaste has strong antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-fungal properties. You may already know about oil pulling (swishing oil around your mouth for about 20 minutes to remove impurities) and using coconut oil for this purpose. This toothpaste is like a mini oil pull twice a day, every day! You could even swish this toothpaste for few minutes before spitting in order to increase the benefits.

About oral detoxing:
If you have a mild sore throat or you feel as you get a full-blown cold after you have used this toothpaste for several days, then you know that your mouth is in detox mode. When I started using coconut oil toothpaste I had a sore throat as well as other cold symptoms for several months.

That was because my body was reacting to the removal of the harmful toxins that had built up in my mouth during the years. The symptoms did eventually disappear. Not every person experiences the same type of detox reaction which is also called “healing crisis”. Your symptoms could be completely different than another person’s. Just know that they are gong too dissipate over time as your body becomes adjusted to a new clean normal.

FORM THIS RECIPE YOU WILL HAVE 8 OUNCES OF TOOTHPASTE
Half a Cup Organic Extra Virgin Unrefined Coconut Oil
A Tablespoon Himalayan Pink Salt
2 Tablespoons Calcium Carbonate
Half a Cup Baking Soda
Half a Teaspoon Organic Liquid Stevia
A Tablespoon Organic Peppermint Flavor

WHY DO I USE PEPPERMINT FLAVOR INSTEAD OF ESSENTIAL OILS?
Peppermint essential oil is a strong ingredient and there is some argument about its safety around small kids. I don’t like the flavor of the peppermint EO because I’ve tried in this recipe and I found that the peppermint flavor that is used for cooking and baking is much more pleasant and safe for using. If you are going to use EO you should be aware that not all brands are food safe which is why you should do your own research before using anything in your mouth or directly on the skin.

HEALTHY ORGANIC TOOTHPASTE IN 3 EASY STEPS
Using a spice grinder or with a mortar and pestle process the salt until you get a fine powder. Do not skip this step, because in case the salt is too large it could cut your gums and cause pain and discomfort.
Mix the salt and the other ingredients in a bowl until the consistency is fluffy and light.
Then you need to add the toothpaste to a 8 ounce jar with fitted lid for storage.

WHY YOU SHOULD TRY A WATERPIK WATER FLOSSER
If you are like me then you have some crannies and nooks in your teeth where the food loves to hide. Probably you are sick of struggling to get into the tight spaces by using regular floss.

Here is the solution: Get a water flosser! I’ve had a Waterpik Water Flosser for around 10 years. They are an amazing tool to keep your mouth healthy. You need to fill the reservoir with water and simply turn it on. Then use the easy handle for navigating the fine stream of water between, around and behind your teeth.

The water stream is going to blast any food particles right out of your mouth. It could also be used to irrigate around implants and crowns. The set comes with 3 water flossing tips, and numerous different brushes for plaque, pockets, brushing and braces. Trust me, you are going to love it!
